Carmen Hansberry Design and Lux Interiors transformed a tired Federation home into a refined minimalist space while honouring its heritage charm. The kitchen and dining area were modernized with a sleek island bench featuring book-matched Calcutta Macchia Vecchia porcelain panels. The design showcases seamless cabinetry with mitered joins and vein-matched surfaces, complemented by a mini butler’s pantry. Bathrooms were revitalized with large-format marble-look tiles, enhancing natural light and circulation, and introducing a frameless shower, back-to-wall toilet suite, and double vanity. The laundry area was optimized with custom cabinetry, a stone-look benchtop, and smart storage solutions. The use of high-quality finishes and attention to detail ensures a contemporary yet respectful update to the home’s elegant heritage.
